Our History

Originally from Herod as alliance #2 in Naxx speed clears, Maelstrom moved to Benediction for WoTLK and now moved to Faerlina for Cataclysm. We have been a team since pre-classic launch and developed a core group of exceptional players who drive to push for server and regional firsts.

Currently

13/13 HM in BWD/BOT/TotFW, clearing in 1 night.

Progress

Top 10 ICC Alliance speed 49:56

Server 10th Heroic Lich King kill. World 44th Ally kill.

Week 1 ICC 25man Progression: Cleared 11/12 HM, server 9th for progression week 1.

Week 1 TOGC 25man Progression: Cleared 5/5 HM in both raids, server 3rd for speed week 1.

Week 1 Ulduar 25man Progression: Completed HM Council, HM Thorim, HM Freya, HM Mimiron, HM Hodir, HM Vezax and 1 Light Yogg.

By the end of TBC, we ended server #9 in speed with a 47 minute SWP clear and cleared all content on release week through every phase.

Our rosters:

Main Raid: Monday, Tuesday, Wed @ 9-12pm ST (Invites go out @ 8:30).

Loot System:

We use a loot council along with the addon RCLootCouncil to track loot history, size of upgrade, and so on. Our loot system is transparent as we provide a google doc containing our loot prio for each raid of each phase in advanced of the raid launch. The priority is typically based on largest upgrade for the raid's overall success or if an item lasts longer for one class over another. The list is always open to criticism.

Cataclysm Classic

Maelstrom is now recruiting for Cata! We plan to continue to push progression and speed into Cata and are currently recruiting all classes. We have recently added a split raid. All players are required to play and maintain a second character and paly it as well as they would their mains.
